I was able to apply for multiple Z visas for people in the program I work for at the Hong Kong visa office between August 14 and August 28 of this year. This included several applications with invitation letters that did not state 'Hong Kong' as the visa office (we had two that said 'New York' but were still accepted).
My experience was that if the paperwork required for the application was all there and all correct, the Z visa was issued. (This was during the time the official HK visa office website still stated that you needed to return to your home country to apply for a work visa.)
There were people applying for single entry F visas while I was at the visa office, but I cannot say for sure whether or not they got them. The visa restrictions listed on a sheet that the security officer was handing out were almost the same for an F as a tourist visa, requiring hotel reservations and return flight arrangements. |
