I have a puzzle that I hope somebody can solve. I read the thread about making international calls FROM Indonesia. I want to know how to make international calls TO Indonesia.

I bought a mobile phone and a Q-Tel (Qatar Telecom) SIM card that should be valid until mid-October. Q-Tel has agreement with a few Indonesian telecom companies to allow roaming calling (HCPT, INDOSAT, NTS, TELKOMSEL, and XLI). I gave the phone to my Indonesian friend. My friend went to Indonesia where my friend now lives (in Imdramayu). I recently moved from Qatar to Saudi Arabia. I want to contact my friend.

What's my friend's phone number? If the basic phone number is XXX-XXXX, what is the phone number from Skype or a landline to this phone while it is in Indonesia?

dial 62 (indonesian country code) and the phone number leaving out the first 0.

Yes, I'm still going on about her. My family need her to take care of our daughter, etc. She did such a fantastic job last time and seems such a sincere lady. Is Indonesia full of such people? My family and I were thinking of flying down to West Java in December to look for her in Imdramayu. Is it a difficult place to find someone? Is is big and wide city? (i.e., sprawling)?

The town itself is relatively small and quiet with a population of about 100 000. But the whole district population is around 1.3 million. Given such a huge proportion of Indramayu women work overseas I'd say you'd need more than her first name to locate her.
