I saw the following ad on the internet. Has anyone worked with the ministry?

Our school is a fully interactive place where students of all ages can visit classrooms, street performances, and English facilities like the bank, post office, and restaurants. All the while speaking English of course! In a sense, we are helping them experience the Western way of life, without having them leave United Arab Emirates.
The Students are so fully immersed in English they don't even realize that they are learning!
You will be required to teach in a new and innovative conversational English language program. Students are Emirate citizens who are enrolled in English language course and attend classes four days a week.
Teachers are paid for class time and preparation time in a Eight hours daily
Criteria:
1) Native English speaker or proven fluency in English with English teaching experience.
2) A COMPLETED Bachelors degree (not necessarily in English). This is a must. Those who have not completed a degree need not apply.
3) Some form of training in English Language teaching e.g. CELTA, TESL, TESOL, TEFL or equivalence.
4) 1- 2 years experience of teaching English, preferably adults.
PACKAGE:
$4800USD or equivalent paid in dirham each month (tax free)
Return Airfare from home city + single furnished bedroom (own bathroom and Kitchen) within the school premesis.
Please note the school is not able to provide accommodation for families.

Totally a scam. They are phishing for passport information and will ask for money for paperwork if you start the process. That salary would only be available for someone with an MA and good related experience. The giveaway is the email address... if it says .tk - they are scammers.

In the UAE, go directly to the employers. Almost none of the decent employers use an agent/recruiter.

This is a total scam.

There are NO jobs teaching in the UAE with only a bachelors degree and limited experience that pays $4800 US a month.

There aren't many MA jobs that pay that much.

And the kicker that gives it away is the .tk at the end of the email address. any address that is .tk is a scam.

Yeah, it does look like a scam. A female friend of mine was thinking of taking that job, and I was warning her about some job ads and workplaces in the Gulf. I never worked in Dubai, but I lived in Kuwait as an adolescent. I may want to work in Dubai after getting an M.A.

Crap, I gave them some personal info but no money. Should I be worried? I am already. I have a relevant degree and CELTA. It didn't sound like too much; I thought they paid large in the middle east.

Yup. Same scam. But as mentioned earlier when it was reported, there's been a $400 cost of living increase.

How nice that the scammers give cost of living increases while the employer seem slow to follow.

Dude... thus far we don't know what they might be doing with the information. Their requests for money come at the point where you think that they are actually sending you to this (nonexistent) job to pay for the visa... which will, of course, never arrive. They don't seem to be getting huge sums of money out of people - a few hundred dollars - but they are not doing this only with teachers, but with any and all types of jobs.

Many have the false impression of high pay in the Gulf. And there are good high pay jobs at university level, but they tend to hire people with MAs and significant related experience. There are also some high pay jobs for certified K-12 teachers at the top of the line international schools, but again you need good related experience. Scams like this grab onto the teachers in Asia who often have limited credentials and have only taught conversation classes at language schools - and have heard all those rumors of super high pay in the Gulf - which hasn't really been true since the 1970's. (in relative terms)
