Those living legally (ie with an Igama) in Eastern Province who would likle to use an academic library should check out the facilities at KFUPM.
The University is generous in opening the doors of the library to the general public. That includes ladies who have special visiting hours when they are shielded from the gaze of men.
This could be useful for those doing MA's in Applied Linguistics and other disciplines. I know that locals come from all over KSA to use the facilities of the best library in the Kingdom.

I'm considering writing an article for an academic journal to stave off boredom.
Is there a section on statistics and the social sciences, particularly education? |

Yes. In addition, you can use electronic journals to access any paper in any field.
BTW, James, are you thinking of writing a research paper on statistics and social sciences while you are in the magic kingdom?
If yes, I wonder if you could investigate the relationship between work habits and social/family life of older teachers (more than 45 yrs old, like Uncle Scotty ), and see if you could find any causal relationship between wok habits/styles, subject area, and mood in older teachers like our respected Uncle Scotty in the magic kingdom?
Please advise us for any useful information.
Thank you.

Rest assured my numerical chum, I'm on the case!
I'll subject our subject to close scrutiny - Spearman Rank Correlation, Wilcoxian Matching Pairs, homophones and Standard Deviation. |

A study of the "expatriate" population here would reveal that many are stark staring mad. I of course am perfectly normal - and I have certificates to attest my sanity. |

Dear scot47,
" . . . I have certificates to attest my sanity."
Would those be the release papers?
Regards,

Weimar :"Die haben mich als geheilt entlassen !" |

All I got last time they released me was a final exit visa. |
