Hi everyone,
My self and my girlfriend are thinking of going to Vietnam in January. I have heard it is easiest to find work in HCMC for a short period of time. Can anyone advise of a school with reasonable pay that will sign a 6 month contract. To be honest any advice would be great, where is best to live, anyone to avoid.
As I said we are planning on staying for at least 6 months, maybe a year.
We are both TEFL trained and have 18 months teaching experience in China and Brazil.
My girlfriend has a Degree I however do not. Will that make it impossible to work or will I be able to work on a tourist visa like I have here in China.
Many thanks.

For a list of schools go to saigonesl.com there is a pretty comprehensive list there. As I tell everybody that comes here, get a list of school addresses, a mobile phone and a bunch of resumes and get on a moto.
When schools do offer contracts they tend to only offer 1 year contracts.
It should be added that January is New Year and places tend to slow down the hiring process before and after the holiday.
Get yourself a B3 visa, but realistically you can work on any visa.
Having a degree does help you find work, but at the end of the day not having one won't stop you from working. I know loads of places that won't even read your resume.
I have always thought District 3 or District 10 is the best place to live. |

Thanks very much,
I've been scouring that saigonesl web site for a few days now and I'm going to send on a CV to all of the ones with email addresses attached. Fingers crossed.
Thanks again
