My only question is what form of cash should I keep around in my "earthquake fund?" USD? YTL? In the long term (12+ months) which will hang on to it's value?

I imagine the YTL is still over valued and has a bit further to go.

Thoughts?

Tins of baked beans, bottled water...potato tubers, grain seeds...arable land in countryside with own water supply, preferably in mountains or otherwise away from major population centres and easily defensible...
