A quick question for all those SNETs out there who've been at it for more than a few years.
With the change to a 3-3-4 system, have you seen any change in curriculum or objectives?
I'm just wondering since I believe this year's form 4 will be the last to take the old HKCEE with this year's form 3 the first to take the new exam when they get to form 6.
Also, has there been any information on how the new exam will differ from the old? Of course I'm asking about the English portion. Or does it sound like the new exam will basically just be the existing HKCEE pushed back a year? |

I've been inundated with e-mails from publishers, (particularly Longman), who are inviting educators in HK to seminars dealing with this issue. I suggest getting in contact with them for more info. (Sorry- I don't have any of those e-mails presently.) |

Thanks SF, and sorry for my late response. Checked out the HKEAA web site and it says the new level descriptors and sample papers are supposed to be distributed sometime during this school year. No additional info for the moment. My guess is that the content is not going to be too much different from the present exams.
And I would guess that's why there have been no comments about curriculum changes so far. There probably haven't been any yet!
