ELs in Riyadh usually depends on teachers, who would like to make a little extra at night. I believe that they have two locations in Riyadh.
The management at Els in Riyadh are wonderful people, who will help you in many ways.
The pay is a little lower than other establishments.
The split shift is a killer, but teaching the two hour
classes are very easy and relaxed.
I enjoyed working part time at night and I hope
that you will enjoy the time there as well. |

The last time I checked the salary
was between 9.500 and 10.500 riyals a month.
Els provide shared furnished housing and transportation to and from work.
The only downside is that a split shift is required. So making extra money in other locations/tutoring maybe difficult.
The staff meeting are usually at some nice location with free food.
Sunday-Wednesday are the work days.. unless it has change |

Thankx again for providing so much info on that topic.
I was wondering, If I am currently located in Riyadh and I am applying for a part time position( morning or night), how much salary can I expect? |

That's the ONLY downside? I'd say shared housing is a MASSIVE downside, far worse than a lousy salary and a schedule that shoots your whole day to hell.
Others have stated here many times that sharing accommodations in Saudi Arabia is tantamount to being locked up in a mental institution. Saudi is an oppressive, suffocating environment. There is little job satisfaction or social life to fall back on, and the solitude of one's abode is the closest to an oasis of inner sanctum as one is likely to find in the Kingdom.
Don't do it. No amount of money, and certainly not the peanuts this outfit is paying, makes it worth it. |

The Thetan is right.Be very wary of any job that expects you to share accommodation. Your stress levels will go through the roof if you do not have your own "defensible space" in Saudi Arabia.
Leave the shared living arrangements to the Bengali cleaners.

I also agree, you do not want to be living in KSA in a shared living arrangement.
You do not know who you will end up living with....not worth taking that chance. |

OK, please calm down everyone . I have three replies that are warning me of shared accomodation and I truly appreciate every single one. The thing is, I live in Saudi with my husband (in a lovely apartment, provided by his job). The ESL center is literally 2 streets behind where I live. I was thinking of taking a part time job there and was wondering about the salary.
Phew!!
No sharing....
Its really nice how people in this forum look out for each other, truly appreciate it guys!
Now that we know I am not sharing or looking for any benefits and am just wondering about the salary, does anyone know the range of a part timer????? |

The part time salary will depend on how many classes you teach.
Two classes 5 pm to 9 30 pm was about 4-5000 riyals.
This information was based on my experience three years ago.
Shared housing does sucked.. especially if you live with my wife |

I don't want to sound glib but..... if you live w streets away from ELS, surely the obvious thing would be for you to pop in and ask someone there? |
