Dear All,
I have posted messages here a few times and had most reassuring responses from all of you that have replied. Many thanks for that, especially to Roger.
I do have some more questions for you though and would appreciate replies.
I'm married to a beautiful Chinese girl, and count myself luckier than I truly deserve, and this is the source of my question.
I'm locked in contract negotiations at the moment. I intend to return to my country of origin in September, come what may. So my negotiation is to extend from 6 months to 1 year. Now that I'm married (well, legally, we haven't had the wedding yet... that's in June) and I wanted to ask a couple of questions...
1. The wedding is in June. I know of a 'principle' (I don't know what to call it to be honest!) that states that husband and wife receive a honeymoon period of 3 weeks. Is that true?
2. Also, and more importantly, I have read a quote from the State Bureau of Foreign experts that 'Foreign experts and their families' - the key is family here 'should receive the return ticket' and so on and so forth. Is this quote accurate?
I hope someone out there either knows what I'm talking about or may be able to direct me to a source that details these things better.
Many thanks for any help! |
