I can't offer any info about the Abu Dhabi office of CfBT other than this blog, which I came across yesterday.

Bad news really does stick like shit to a blanket, eh?!

What a pointless and negative post.

Someone has been made very angry by some in CfBT and that's how the blogspot should be read.

As with all PPP providers in the UAE except Cognition and Nord Anglia have their problems. Basically it comes down to the team in the school and whether you get lucky enough to be a member of a good one.

In many cases the word is CfBT has made many improvements with choice of staff, service time in the UAE and an understanding of the Emirati student. Sadly, most of these come only from understanding the UAE situation

Much will depend on where you are posted within the network of CfBT schools. Much will also depend on how much experience you bring with you of working in a non-English speaking environment. Even more will depend on the attitude you bring with you from your previous place(s) of employment. I've seen many Partnership Teachers/Teacher Advisors founder on the rock of their own arrogance on this project.
What you may safely assume is that, although the previous management team has been replaced, the old network of favoured employees has simply been replaced by a new one. The old management team may well have been 'toxic' - I for one wouldn't dispute that - but the new management team seems to comprise some sort of 'old boys network' - (certainly pays to be male in the 'new' CfBT, despite the problems that this creates in certain, more traditional areas of Abu Dhabi Emirate). What I would say is that the work can be extremely rewarding, despite the frustrations of having to work to the dictates of some extremely ill-informed and dubiously-qualified curriculum advisors, not to mention the constant interference and chopping-and-changing which comes down from ADEC.
Hope this helps.

It 'should be read' in any way the reader reads it.
