I'm trying to figure out a way to travel around during our next week long vacation and the train prices are murdurous. The Japan Rail Pass seems like a deal but it's only for temporary visitors. Anybody know if there is something for people with working visas?

| Juhachi kippu pass. But it is only good for certain times of the year (school holidays). It is about 11,000 yen for a 5 day pass. It can be shared with as many people as you want (5 max. of course). Not sure of the dates, sorry. I bought it last year and it worked well, but it is only on the slow trains. |
