Hello,
Can anyone tell me when Spanish language schools shut over the Christmas period? I'm planning on going over to Valencia and handing out my CV to a few places when I've finished my Celta course (the end of this month) but I don't want to get there and find out that they're all shut! Also if anyone has any recommendations of schools please let me know!
Thanks a lot |

January 6 is a big national holiday here in Spain and marks the end of the Christmas break for language schools. I think you'd be wasting your time turning up before then.
Good Luck |

Hey, thanks for your reply.
Do you know when the Christmas break starts? My plan was to go and stay with my friend for a week at the end of November/ beginning of December and check out a few language schools and then come back to England and see if anyone contacts me with a job offer for the new year. Wouldn't this be a better plan than just turning up after the 6th of Jan as the schools would already have my CV before the Christmas break? |

Yes, it sounds like a good plan. If the schools see you in person before Christmas, it will help you. The Christmas break will begin on Dec. 23 (Tues.) although some places will close the previous Friday (Dec. 19). |
