The crew at EF Depok are thinking about coming down to hang out in/around Bogor some weekend soon. Is there anyone on here from EF Bogor that would like to get together for coffee/lunch/etc possibly this upcoming sunday or some sunday in the future? We're also interested in joint excursions or possibly even just information about the mountains around Bogor.

PM me if you're interested.

thanks,
Adam

Their Mr Gusti is an ardent follower of this forum so I'm sure your message will be passed on.

Problem with the area around Bogor is that at weekends the roads are gridlocked by cars with B plates. It can take as long to drive to Gunung Salak as to actually climb it.

I have never had an issue with Pak Gusti or B plates.

Pak Made and DK plates, that's another story.

Sounds like a lovely trip, good on ya for trying to get something productive going!!

True, Malu, some roads around Bogor are congested at the weekends; some are not.
The original post suggested a social meeting of teachers from schools that are pretty close to each other. It also asked for some information on the Bogor region from the people who live there.
Reasonable and construcitve requests, I would have thought.
The writer also asked for a PM in reply.
Taking a cheap shot at the Bogor region in general and one person associated with EF Bogor in particluar, on the open forum. seems inappropriate and inrelevant.
Like Kebo, I wish the first poster luck in getting something construcitve going.

Apa donk?! I live in Bogor. I'm intimately familiar with weekend traffic around the town. On Sundays I invariably go to Jakarta while the Jakartans are away.

Give my regards to Pak Gusti.

how did he take a cheap shot at mas gusti? he merely said that mas gusti reads this forum, which happens to be true. so what is the problem? why didnt u post something constructive?

i think it is a great idea and hope that u can get together. too bad the social club here never materialized.
