The flights and course are now booked in Hanoi with Apollo. I fly on Feb 3rd. I think getting out of the UK ASAP is my main aim. I decided to work to earn enough to fly out there and live and also have time to prepare for the course and take it seriously.
It's a daunting thought leaving the UK but I'm also looking forward to the complete change.
Any thoughts of things I should do before I leave in the next 2 months. The following are things I have sorted already:
I'm getting a 60 day VISA
I have booked my flight
I'm saving about $4000 for my time abroad there until I can find a job. (that's with flights and tuition fees paid for)
I am preparing to arrange cheap accommodation.
I'm getting a 1 year global insurance policy for myself
Anything else? |

Really?
Your course must have been structured completely differently to mine then. Assessments were returned fairly swiftly after they were handed in, meaning we had at plenty of time to resubmit before the end of the course. I did have to resubmit a couple of pieces on the final day, but my tutors then marked them immediately. Everybody else passed too, even if they did have to resubmit a few things.
As for the late nights and stress, isn't that what the course is all about? 
Oh, and I do still wonder whether my decision to take the course at home was the right one, both for ease of employment and for making friends in country. However, in the end I simply had no choice. There was no way I could have paid for accommodation throughout the course, and then supported myself for however long it would have taken me to get a job after. |

I guess I made the decision the other way. Right now the plan is save save save save!
Fingers crossed this is the right way to go about things. Keep me updated Madame J on your progress!
Any hints on passing the course will also be appreciated.  |

| Ack, to pass the course all you really need to do is work your arse off for a month and take on board all teaching feedback. You'll be fine! |
