'....Is it possible to pile it on laying on the colorful adjectives and gain favor of these big bosses...'
Yeah, k*ss*ng up can work. Depends on whether the big guy is having a good day, likes you, isn't himself dodging the crossfire of workplace politics. Etc. Big mistake: to imagine that this process has anything to do with rationality--- eg; your circumstances, your academic expertise. your professionalism. Some of the least professional people I ever encountered (and I've worked some weird jobs) were often flavour-of-the-month. |

Most of the ESL staff are fine. How can you generalize over numbers into triple figures? Enjoy; if you don't like s.o., move on. BTW: talk of bitchiness on women's campus is so out of date, if it ever were true. See above: u r with people not the three witches.
Those to watch are the admin. and some of the coordinators who are grossly incompetent, partial, unfair (no, not all). Some are still finding their feet, i.e. paddling in the deep end, splashing competent swimmers with scant regard. Others do not appear to care who is offended so long as their favorites continue to evaluate them highly.
If new, keep heads down unless you aspire to one of the said positions. |
