Hello fellow globe trotters,

I'm an Australian, 20 years old, got a BA in Mass Communication and was looking to start a 4 or 5 year tefl career in order to find a home somewhere in the world other than boring Australia. I reckon its a bit of a cultural wasteland.

This is besides the point, can anyone on this wonderful forum reccommend THE BEST Tefl course in london? Preferably one that offers excellent job finding support upon completion of it?

I've been able to narrow it down to:

International House, Oxford House College, Tefl International.

Or there is also one in Manchester that offers garunteed placement upon completion of the subsidised 5 week course. Although i reckon the conditions of the placement may not be great. (English First)

Yes they are all Trinity TEFL or Cambrige CELTA accredited, i have done my research, im not a complete spanner.

Any help would be pathetically appreciated.

Are you in London?

I did my course with St Giles College (dont have their site but google it) in a town called Eastbourne. Its on the south coast, about an hour from London....and is apparently the sunniest place in the UK!

They do have a school in London, but I dont know if they offer the courses there....but if you fancy relaxing by the sea away from the bright lights of the big city...i would recommend St Giles!

(its a Trinity course BTW)

Just out of curiosity, why take the course in london. Most likely the schools that you go to will not be able to give you too much job assistance. Take the course in the area that you want to teach in. That will allow you to develop contacts there.
