The "no Tokyo work" thread got hijacked by a discussion on the validity of ETS' reported TOEIC scores, and if Koreans are actually better than Japanese at learning English.

It's probably best to start a new thread devoted to this discussion, rather than continue in the previous thread. If you want to catch up on the previous discussion, it's here...

All you have to do is talk to someone who has taught both groups (like me). IN GENERAL Korean people make greater efforts at English, particularly in actually using it as a real language as opposed to just a gate keeper for higher eduacation (which, in Japan, leads to often not really worrying about it until just a few months away from the test).
