Health care can be tricky in Poland for non-speakers of Polish.
As a service to the community, I'm publishing the contact info of my providers (no, I don't get a kickback!)
Physician:
Dr. Ted Russer, MD is a native speaker of both languages from the USA and has an room in the DIAGAMMED office on ul. Wislna 9/2 by appointment only, usually mornings. His mobile is 507 225 083. He can make referrals and write prescriptions. Very cool guy. Ask about his new Hummer.
Chiropractor:
Chiropractors are a fairly rare phenomenon in Poland, I've been told, but manual adjustments to the spine are effected by rehabilitation specialists.
I get my care from Jacek Majeran, M. Rehab.
His mobile is 888 954 303. Most appts. are in the evening at present.
His office is at Kielecka 17. He also performs relaxation massage, therapeutic massage and sports massage. His prices are very reasonable. He speaks passable English and German as well as Polish.
Jack is the guy to see when your back is out or your neck is killing you. |

An osteopath is even harder to find, if at all possible.
On the other hand, herbal medicine is common in Poland. |

There are some great manual therapists Poland, who basically do the same things that chiropractors do.
You can find there signs around blocks of flats. Basically just look for the spine.
My lady and I found a really good one bus stop down from Geant, near the junction with the big Media Mart sign. We were originally looking for an osteopath out that way. We couldn't find the ostoepath but we did find a great manual therapist who charged a lot less and fixed our problem.
Also near IH you can get some acupunture done at the Tibetean Medical Center. They fixed some tissue I tore in my ankle during the Winter. |

I have also received care from the nice fellow from Tibet. The only drawbacks were the fact that he didn't do chiropractic and the fact that his polish was like mine- challenged!
I whole-heartedly recommend him, although his name escapes me at the moment.
I tracked down this thread to check the address and noticed that I need to update it:
Jacek is now trained in several osteopathic modalities, in addition to chiropractic technique. I want to teach him business, but his prices will go up... |
