Could you be more specific? What do you want to know that has not been posted on the previous threads? I have some general information and I can try to find out anything specific. |

Thanks for taking the time to reply, Mia.
Damn acronyms.
I was wondering why recruitment is still ongoing so close to the start of term.
A recruitment company is still advertising with unseemly haste for August 2008.
"We are urgently seeking..." |

As I understand it, this is pretty much the norm for PMU as a start-up institution. (They also hired a large number of faculty at this same time last year.) They are growing very quickly and planning ahead for that growth doesn't seem to be a strong point there.
There is also a high turnover rate that is probably pretty standard for KSA, I guess. It's not easy to recruit for people here, with the restrictions and the misapprehension of the ill-informed regarding the "danger" of living here. I think they probably either didn't plan for enough people, or they didn't get the numbers they needed early on.
Why are you cursing the poor acronyms? What have they done to deserve this? |

No, Uncle Scotty, I think you are plagiarising here!
SSPA is: Scottish Society for the Prevention of Adultery! |
