|
|
I have learned about the dark evil side of Saad Specialist Hospital and Saad Group of Companies. Since I have learned about the dark and evil side of Saad Group of Companies it is my responsibility to inform every member of this group not to seek employment with this oppressive company.
Here are a few reasons
____________________
1. This company wont pay you on time.
2. Your monthly salary is sometimes paid after two months.
3. Over worked employees are not paid over time.
4. They wont honor the work contract between employer and employee.
5. When you resign according to your contract they generally retaliate and terminate you and refuse to pay you and throw you out of the country.
6. They constantly lie to you like its going out of style regarding your Iqama (Residence Visa) for yourself and your family.
7. Fear and Intimidation tactics to frighten the employee to death.
8. Holding employee against there will and refuse to allow them to final exit from their job and refuse to give them their passport.
This company is so corrupt that they are no longer allowed to recruit in India.
Saad Group of Companies is a very corrupt place and that is why I am warning every member of this group dont apply for work with this evil company or do so at your own risk! |

The Saad organisation does indeed deservedly have a very bad name.
However, i think that they are not involved in recruiting English teachers. |

Threy sound like an average saudi employer. I hear that the Saad Group run BISAK the British International School of Al-Khobar, which is one of many schools for "expat" kids in Eastern province KSA.
(What a weasel word that "expat" is !) |

You're right, Scot, "expat" is truly a weasel word.
but at least it's better than "Westerners". |

Why is it a 'weasel' word? According to the meaning that was used in the Intro to Biz textbook I taught from, a weasel word is one used to evade or retreat from a direct statement.
Or are you just saying that 'expat' is a negative term in your opinion?
I never found any negative connotations with the word in the rest of the Gulf. To me it just means a person who is working and living in a country other than the one that they hold a passport for.
Is this a Saudi 'expat' attitude? Or is it an attitude that comes from the UK?

Or rather, a white, "Western" person working abroad. I've rarely heard Phillippinos or Sri Lankans referred to as "ex pats". |

It is very often used to mean "white folks" westerners, honkeys or whatever. Bangladeshis, Srilankans and Filipinos leave their homeland, they "expatriate" themselves but are not usually referred to as "expats" ! |

Fear and Intimidation tactics to frighten the employee. . .
This is the Saudi version of Total Quality Management. |

I had actually always thought that it was a term that likely came from BrEng that had been adopted by most westerners.
Still, I still consider it a useful term with no negative connotations at all. I was wondering why Scot considered it a 'weasel word' - which to me is something bad.
I always thought of myself as an expat with nary a shred of shame

Saad Hospital seems to be a pretty good hospital. Whether anyone would want to work there is another point. I notice that female employes are now required to cover their hair. |

VS,
To me the term "expat" conjures up images of women's coffee morning, overpriced Cornflakes at Tamimis, conversations about the kids' school concerts and so on and so forth. Distinctly unappealling.
Scot, do all employes have to cover their hair at Saad hospital? Or just the Muslim women? |

I was there today. I saw one female employee ( a doctor ?) who had not covered her hair.
Filipina nurses who are not Muslims were all covered. On my first visit only a few months ago, they had not covered their hair. |
