I enjoy being a professor normally.
It would not surprise me if I've worked at more universities in the last 9 months than anyone here on this board.
Suppose that makes me the most experienced Professor around here. I've seen a lot of campuses and met a lot of Professors also.
Like I said, though....be careful what you wish for.
It can be a lot of work. |

Is university level teaching for me??
In the last two months Ive sent out close to a dozen applications to individual universities for a position teaching English and so far I havent had a single response. Perhaps my cover letter sucks but realistically I think its because
1) I dont have teaching experience
2) I dont have publications
3) I dont have an MA thats related to linguistics or education
Im willing to except that while starting out I may have to take a position as at AEON or Interac but I really think I would be overqualified to teach elementary or high school kids. |
I haven't read ANY of the other posts after this, so forgive me if this thread has already went this way...
BUT, this is weird...you THINK you are OVERQUALIFIED to teach at AEON or Interac, and you have NO TEACHING EXPERIENCE whatsoever.
WOW... |

I have reverse PhD degrees, meaning I haven't even finished kindergarden. Can I get the chair of linguistics at the university of Tokyo? |
