I recently picked up "Teach Like Your Hair's on Fire" by Rafe Esquith. It is one of the most inspiration books for a teacher that I've ever read. It may well change how you view your students, teaching and even yourself. I highly recommend this book and I know any real teacher will greatly enjoy reading it. Yes, it is so good that I had to create a topic about it. No, I don't think it was a waste of anyone's time.

Happy reading Smile

Chris

I'll check it out.

BTW, this is the second time recently that I've noticed 'inspiration' for 'inspirational' ('It is one of the most inspiration books for a teacher that I've ever read'). Is this an emerging trend? Cool

LOL, I hope not. I was writing this late at night and I guess I made a spilling error. How embarrassing!

Are you sure you don't mean 'inspiring'?

Yeah, could be 'inspiring' too - I was just working with what Chris had inadvertently given us ('inspiration(..)'). But now that you mention it, is there much difference in meaning between the two words (here, adjectives) 'inspirational' and 'inspiring' (in this context at least)? Google shows almost a 3:1 preference for 'inspiring' in the context "the most ______", but that's about all I could discern from a quick glance.
