Hi
I've been offered a job by ELS Bell in Gdynia. Has anyone here worked there - either the school (I've found a few postings re ELS Bell so am aware of the cuts etc - I spoke to them about that - but looking re this branch in particular) or the city? The school are having trouble finding someone I can speak to who has worked there, which is a slight worry!
Many thanks

Hello:
Cannot say anything about the school but I did stay at a hostel in Gydnia a couple of times...not bad but not much to do there but no worries...Sopot and Gdansk are both only a hop, skip, and jump from there so plenty to do...good luck |

Great school and DoS. I'd recommend taking it. I worked there last year, no problems at all |

I worked for English Unlimited in Gdynia and ELS-Bell in Gdansk. The new DOS in Gdansk is cool, I don't know if you're working for him. I loved Gdynia. IMHO it has more going on, better shops, etc, than Sopot or Gdansk, though you'll probably find less native speakers, other teachers, etc, which was probably the only downer. Most of my friends were in Gdansk. However, Sopot is only 10 mins away and Gdansk 30 mins by train and they run regularly 24 hours. Go for it. |
