I don't know all that much about them other than what I learned at the seminar, which seemed to be informative and helpful. I know that your experience is really a gamble depending upon where you are placed etc etc. I got a job with Borderlink, but turned it down. I am still waiting to hear from the JET program. Should I go? I am currently unemployed in the states, so im not really doing anything other than playing music. And the job market is going to get worse before it gets better. |

Come to Japan if you really want to teach.
Don't come if you think its escaping a bad economy in your own country or just because you got nothing better to do.
The economy is internationally screwed and that includes Japan.
I hear the JET program is a nice option. I know Interac isn't but that is my experience. You might have better luck.
Still, one day, I am going to swing for that *beep* in personel. |

Mulder, it might help if you went into more detail regarding exactly why Interac was so bad. What exactly did this "*beep*" do to you, and is that representative of the company as a whole? There is a difference between potentially just personal misunderstandings and e.g. every AET present being treated with thinly-veiled contempt at monthly meetings at a BOE, almost as if it were company policy (and Interac at least spared me that - the BOE came to me at my schools, in the form of occassional visits from a sweet inoffensive lady!); but then, one person in a high-enough position can wield considerable power and sometimes might as well be conflated with the notion of the company itself...again, it all depends on who did what to whom, and if that were a unique situation for the apparently injured individual concerned, or circumstances that applied (were applied) across the board.
The truth is out there.
Regards,

Scully, the truth was posted way way back.
I will search later, and dig out the forum reference.

was one part.
The rest wasn't on the forums but it involved a direct confrontation and physical threat. I thought it better not to post it at that time, as you will see from the above that Interac clearly do read stuff here.
As I said, I didn't feel good about quitting but my reasons were extremely pressing and involved a death.
On the post above are also 2 more links from another guy with bad experiences.
I have a very bitter memory of how they acted in a very sensitive time. I am quite happy to badmouth them and warn others for the next 40-50 years. |

Thanks, Mulder - I look forward to receiving your bulging package!*
Merry Xmas to you too. And Skinner. And Chomsky.

Ooh, Christmas has arrived earlier than I thought! I'll take a look at that package now, then. |

I suspected a conspiracy all along.
The aliens control Interac, I tell you.
INTelligent Extraterrestrial RACe
The human employees are just pawns.
Their time is nearly up and they will assimilated and made into soup for ramen. |

Sorry to hear about the death in the family and the insensitive handling of it, Mulder (I somehow missed those points previously). Apart from that though, they still don't sound as bad as Borderlink or even RCS! (But I've told you that already, on other threads, eh!).
Anyway, back to the FBI work and leave the deep AET undercover stuff to the new agents.
