There have been ads from Bell over the years... oil related I think...
As I recall, they were paid in pounds sterling.

Hi
Sirte Oil were still advertising on TEFL.com for language teachers paying between 2300-3500 pounds per month. Most recently paid jobs are rotational, though the Brititsh Council have opened up schools there. Libya is allowing a lot more access which means the more lucrative deals are more difficult to come by as more and more cowboys/girls are offering lower salaries and thus making bigger margins for themselves.
