I was just offered a job there.
The pay seems decent. They provide housing.
However, I have to work six days a week. I understand that is common in Turkey.
Apparently, this operation has been around since 1987 and has several branches throughout Istanbul.
Anyone familiar?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. |

| Six days a week is not common. I've been here 6 years and have never worked more than 5. Schools that ask you to teach 6 will usually tell you everywhere else does it but they are just trying to justify it. Last year when my boyfriend was looking for a new job, one school tried to slip in a few 6th day classes and he just laughed. Don't do it. |

Do not ever make the mistake of working 6 days a week - unless you want to.
Most schools give 2 days a week off, my current school is even offering me 3 days off a week, wow, they must be desperate! |

I had two friends with contrasting experiences.
One got a job there and moved on when a better offer came along.
Another was told they wanted teachers. They were quite eager to have one ASAP. However, the minute he entered the door. He wasn't even invited in the the office. They sat him down in the reception area and said they would want part time sometime in the future. The enthusiasm and need for a teacher "immediately" seemed to dim the moment they saw him. He is not white, which may have had an effect on them. He was quite professionally dressed, with tie.
They must have forgotten they "didn't need full time" teachers, because a month later they responded to an ad of his, obviously unaware that they had told him otherwise earlier.
