China too. My first place I was in a full sized apartment with 3 bedroom, sure I shared housing with two other trainers, but there weren-t many otpions in the small town we lived.

In the second, I had my own flat, two bedrooms, equiped with everything from a microwave, to tv.

If you can land a job with METU in Northern Cyprus they will provide you with a modern 3 or 4 bedroom villa/apartment on campus. Fully furnished including dishwasher. The Campus is a bit remote but the views are outstanding. You will need to have an MA and actually be able to teach (they are strict) but I lived there for a year and was very impressed with the housing.

In Taiwan in Taoyuan i had a 2-bedroomed apartment on the 6th floor of a tower block for the equivalent of 108 per month. Forget what it was in NT$. In the capital you would get considerably less for your money and pay more.

In Vladivostok (perhaps very different from Moscow), you're looking at 40%+ for rent. Apartments are hard to come by and very expensive here. Of course, if you teach at a university and live in their, um, spartan housing you can have very low rent.

Have to agree with Bobbysue, definitely Brunei is the best. Large detached four/five bedroom houses provided for free if you are a family. Most have nice gardens, I know of people who have a pool. Depends on the landlord as to what is provided in terms of furniture etc. If you are prepared to go down-market a bit, you can make a bit of extra cash on your rent allowance. There is quite a bit of property around at the moment as well, so easy to find
