Am going to Qingdao on business in a few days and would appreciate information on a good hotel under 300rmb.Location to shopping and restaurants more important than bars or girls as I'm taking my own treats!

I'm going to Qingdao too, at the end of this month. Thanks for the recommendation, Laurence.
Which Home Inn (Ru Jia Jiu Dian) are you refering to? According to their website there are six in Qingdao, none on Hong Kong (Xiang Gang) Road. They're located on:
1. Wu Shi Lu (opp. Carrefour)
2. Tai Ping Xian San Lu
3. Dang Jiu Lu
4. Fuzhou Nan Lu
5. Yin Chuan Xi Lu
6. Deng Zhou Lu
