Hello everyone!!
So i have a bit of a situation and no one I have talked to here in Kansai seems to know much about this - so I figured someone on here might be able to provide some insight.

I am currently an ECC teacher in Kansai, however recently have personal reasons to move to Tokyo. Thus I was wondering if anyone knew how easy it would be to transfer from the Kansai to Kanto district, while staying with the same school. I understand it way take a few months and that is ok. Furthermore if it is not possible is it easy enough to find another big eikaiwa school to work for if I'm already in Japan??

I know I could probably talk to ECC about some of this but i don't want to ask before I'm sure that I will be moving and i don't want to miss out on getting a resign if I choose not to move. Any advice about moving to Tokyo from Kansai related or otherwise to the job factor would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you all so much in advance.

Don'T know what it takes to get transferred from ECC. Could be easy; could require you staying at least a year. Ask.

As for big eikaiwas in Tokyo, I don't know why you even ask. It's the biggest city in the country. Plenty of opportunities (and competition).

During training I had asked Dustin and Edward if I would be able to transfer over to work at ECC in Kyushu after my first contract and they said that, while it has happened once or twice, it's very rare. I got the impression that ECC doesn't do transfers like that.

Yeah i dont think its common - but im trying to transfer to tokyo so its a big enough area that im hoping there are openings. I think i am going to talk to Edward this week i just dont want it to effect my resign. And i should add that i dont mind waiting four months or six to transfer -I really like ECC and want to stay with them.
