|

2 years ago I spent 2 weeks travelling in Turkey by myself. It was beautiful and the people were very friendly.
Also spent 2 weeks in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and even got married then and there!! |

I went to Boracay Beach in The Philippines for two weeks. Talk about "wasting away in Margaritaville"!
Best Regards,

| A year (13 months, to be exact) traveling around South America was pretty good. It didn't always feel like a holiday, but as I wasn't working I guess it was, technically speaking, a vacation. I wish I could do it again! |

I'm glad to hear good things about Romania. I'm also living in Istanbul and am planning to get to Romania as soon as I can!
As for my best vacation.... I think travelling through Mexico, especially Chiapas, the Yucatan, and Guanajuato! |

Most recent 'holiday' (ok I'm cheating a bit here) - a day in Singapore to get my visa for Indonesia - such a civilised place didn't want to come back although spent far too much money on a "Singapore Sling' in the Raffles - well.......when in Rome and all that.
Other fantastic holidays - a long weekend in Prague, 10 days in Romania and various holidays in Turkey....(2 whilst I was working there).
Now future holidays would be more interesting........on my 'wish list' Zanzibar, Fiji, India, Pakistan, Estonia, Norway..........well most places really.
Next holiday - going back to Oman to see some friends and have a job interview, will also be spending a few days in Dubai. |

Ummmm, I guess that in terms of sheer decadence and "aving it large" - Ko Phi Phi for Thai new year last year, so nice and hot, picturesque, cheap, friendly locals and friendly tourists....
For a more upmarket thing, probably my first weekend trip to Hong Kong (before I moved here), staying at the Hyatt and eating at all the nice places...
Ah, memories! |

Well, one of my best vacations was going to Mazatlan,Mexico with my father in December. (when I was going to university) Beautiful weather! We played tennis, went parasailing etc. Advice regarding parasailing: When you're coming down, you HAVE to pull your cord at the right time. I saw an older man wait too long..and he came down with a thud and nailed a boat on the beach shore. We were at the ocean. I still remember his wife running to him and screaming. |

Think I might give parasailing a miss...
Wandering around the Peruvian Andes was the best fun I've had abroad. |
