hmmm.

when i bring up umowa o dzielo with my polish confidants, the conclusion is always that it will cause issues with Urzad Skarbowy. I need to look into this closer because if all of you are doing it or have done it in the past, and it was legal......i'll be in a rage if i need to start dumping 800+ into ZUS every month.

If you have your own company, why can't you just give them an invoice? Problem solved, no contract needed for that! Only between your company and the school!

yes, it is very convenient having your own business in that respect, something i always liked about this arrangement, but now, having my own business, I will have no choice but to pay full ZUS.

put 50zł a month towards private health insurance, breathe easy.

Good luck with that one. My office have me on Medicover. I think it is the silver family option. 315zl per month. Luckily I get 100% of that back from the firm.

Yeah, the full family is 315zl but, as we discussed somewhere else, private medical cover can be had for the individual for a lot less. I pay 127 for my own package (which covers pretty much everything) and a basic package can be had for as little as 40zl/month. Isn't the 315zl deal for you, your wife AND two kids under the age of 18, or similar? Either way, as dynow says, it's got to be better than spunking it on ZUS payments and receiving f***-all for it.

It is most certainly better than paying anything to ZUS!

I think that the cover is for self, partner and up to four children but couldn't swear to it as I haven't got any kids.

Just had a quick look at the Medicover page and couldn't see anything for less than 105zl per month for one person. Where are you getting the figure of 40zl from? If that is available, I might take it out and stick the 285zl spare a month into my pocket.

Im not with Medicover, I'm with Luxmed (via Hestia Insurance.) They do the 40zl basic or 127zl Plus (or whatever they call it) package

I'm pretty sure Allianz does a package for around 50zł, but you've got to get in contact for prices.

so frustrating.

as of now, it looks like i'm just going to have to pay the full ZUS amount. it's going to annoy me to no end, not to mention be a lifestyle changer. 500 less in my pocket every month. (ouch)

my school will not sign me up as Umowa o dzielo, and any other way i have looked at would potentially put me in trouble with urzad skarbowy.

if i had known this would happen, i would have looked for another school when i had first come to Poland that would have allowed me to avoid paying ZUS. think about it.....a private insurance plan would be say 50-60 a month. ZUS is 800. a 750zl swing every month, or 9,000zl per year, all for nothing.

for all you newbies on this forum, you have been forewarned. Confused
