hello,
i am a very silly young australian who decided upon leaving australia to do a tefl couse in london because in my twisted logic it was the best place to do it. Now im having big troubles finding a job abroad where i dont have to fly all the way back to australia to get a clearance check/apostilled uni thing or other piece of visa related red taped crap.
Does anyone know which country in (or near) europe would be good to go to, if i just wanted some short term work.
possibly under the table, or just with an easy visa process.
I hear turkey is ok for this kind of thing?
Cheers and happy australia day for monday!!!
P.S. i had the pleasure of eliciting and concept checking the word 'cheers' in a TP class yesterday, i love teaching!! |

You might scan the Czech and Poland boards here - I think there are current threads on visa procedures for both countries. If I recall correctly, Poland may have just moved to ease the process...though the economies and job prospects in both countries are fairly slim right now.
Western Europe is probably out. The laws are tighter there in general, and you're more likely to get caught if you try doing the illegal route.
I'll just add one note because presumably you're currently in London, with your 90 days on the clock. I think you may want to hurry up to get relocated, as any kind of visa process is likely to take at least 45 days.
(The Schengen zone is that part of Europe - you can google it for a list of countries - where aussies and North Americans can stay for up to 90 days without a visa - but then have to get out for 90 days at least) |
