KD15 for first month, KD30 each for 2nd, 3rdnew visit visa fees
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 4: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Sunday started implementing the new fees for visit visa applications KD 15 for the first month and KD 30 each for the second and third months, reports Al-Wasat daily quoting reliable ministry sources. Acting Interior Minister Sheikh Jaber Khaled Al-Sabah explained the ministry imposed the fees to control the entry of absconding workers to Kuwait. He also lauded the efforts of Undersecretary Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Rajeeb and Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Immigration Affairs Major General Mesaed Al-Mishan in this regard.
Sources clarified the new visit visa fees are applicable to all nationalities except the GCC nationals. If a visitor is apprehended for overstaying in the country, he will be deported and banned from entering Kuwait again. Foreigners, who are currently on visit visa to Kuwait and wish to renew their visas, will be required to pay the corresponding fees. The new regulations will be imposed on those who fail to renew their visas within the specified period except those undergoing treatment in the country or any other special circumstances subject to the approval of the immigration officials, sources added. |
