What and risk the rising sea levels? No thanks, I'll stick to the mountains. I'm looking forward to the beach being about 4 hours closer though. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I don't like the hot, humid weather that prevails along the coast; that's why I live in the center of the country at 8000 feet, where the weather is warm or cool and dry almost the whole year long! I don't anticipate many people (Mexican or expat) moving to the coast and away from this desirable climate, even if the sea levels don't rise as MELEE has mentioned above.

Most Mexicans don't believe me when I tell them that property prices can go down! Having seen it happen 3 times in England, I know they can. Here in DF, the building of new houses and apartments continues and sooner or later supply will outstrip demand, together with a credit squeeze and general lack of confidence by buyers, due to the recession. In our delegation of Benito Jurez, one-third of homes built since 2000 are unsold. We are looking to move again, and I know we will be lucky to realize the price we paid 3 years ago!
