I believe that would be dishwashing liquid/dishwashing soap, or dish soap for short.

Yes, "dishwashing soap" or "dishwashing detergent." You don't really even need to add the word "liquid", because the liquid form is so ubiquitious. Granular "dishwashing soap" is for dishwashers (dishwashing appliances), and the special soap for those is referred to as "dishwasher soap/detergent." Dishwashers are still uncommon in homes in Japan, anyway. |
