I am a newbie, I have spent a number of weeks reading with considerable interest the different fourms or threads on this web site....some I have found to be interesting and informative, however in some cases I have been left wondering why some replies were given in the manner they were....

Also I have wondered if some replies are meant to discourage people going to certain places so as to reduce the competition in that country or area

Any comments

Ha! An interesting theory, but whilst I can't speak for everyone, I doubt that enough people read this board for a significant number of people to suddenly migrate to one area and nab all the top jobs. And I doubt that many people are going to be overly concerned about one extra person moving to their area, least of all a newbie.

Hey, I might be wrong, but it somehow seems unlikely. Cool

If you're referring to posts explaining that non-EU citizens aren't eligible for legal work permits in most of Europe - no, it's not meant to discourage people from coming to Europe. It's meant to be sure that they have realistic expectations about their chances of being able to stay here.

No, it's not to discourage people from going because of competition. about some threads, it might be because people don't know the answer, or that it's been answered so many times that the poster should really do a search.

Or the question is so open ended that it's impossible to answer.
