Hi,
I've been exploring as many options as possible after college and mining this forum for info, but one thing I'm having a hard time figuring out is who pays the best. It seems like Asia pays pretty well, relatively speaking, but can anyone tell me or link me to a good source for the best pay(whether it's from a cross-country perspective or broken down by types of organizations)?
Thanks!

If you've been browsing the forum here and doing other research, you will know that it depends on your qualifications. Also, simply finding a job ad that lists a high salary might mislead you--how much of it is taxed? How much is the cost of living, and are things like accommodation and flights paid for? How much can you reasonably expect to save every month, while still living whatever sort of life you're comfortable with?

There are tons of threads about money (is that really all we care about?!?!?). Generally, the Middle East is one of the best places to go for money, with Saudi Arabia tending to offer the highest salaries, but again, you need good qualifications, and life in the Middle East isn't for everyone. Here in Oman I make about $42,000 now (a substantial increase over what I earned when I first arrived here two-ish years ago), tax free, with housing and flights paid and two months off. I send home half of my salary and still have enough basically to do whatever I want here. I've got an MA and maybe 8ish years of full-time experience.

The Middle East
Taiwan
Japan
Korea
International schools

Are all up there with decent pay, but like denise says, it depends on a lot

Asia pays the best?

Do you realize how many countries with different standards of living are included in the word Asia?

China certainly wouldn't be on the list. And with the exchange rate, Korea's falling off quickly. Maybe Japan?
