Well, when the rest of the faculty in the teacher's room tell you "you smell bad", or that you're making puddles on the floor from dripping rain water -or both- reconsider that bus option.

Got to get the beer out of my system somehow. I can change clothes before bed time. I don't need super powers for that=) Deodorant helps too.

Also, I happen to have the following question for those in the know about filing Japanese taxes:
If one is paying for his or her own transportation to work, in Japan, are train passes, bus passes, etc., tax deductible? If one is considered a "full-time" employee of a school, dispatch company, etc., is this then not an option? I'm thinking -but am hardly sure- that only people or entities that are independent contractors can take this deduction. (I used to deduct transportation expenses when I was self-employed, in Japan. But going way back to when I was commuting back and forth as a teacher, I wasn't yet thinking of these things.) |
