Please help

I don't work for them, but I don't think this is normal. Maybe your CV got lost. Maybe there isn't a position open. Maybe...

Why don't you phone them or go to the school? Try reapplying.

I'm getting the same treatment as elliot_spencer. There is a recent job ad on tefl .com. I used their application on the ET website. Waited a week. No reply. Sent my CV/cover letter/glamor shot to Taksim branch and...no reply.
Also disappointed to see that the pay is 18-20ytl/class. Wasn't it like 20-30ytl last year?

actually, compared to the normal going rate 18-20 ytl per hour isnt bad. When I was at ET I just got 16ytl. It doesnt surprise me that they would put the wages up pretty high and then bring them on down again. That company blows. And please take my advice, if its the Ankara branch of ET, AVOID IT like the plague! The manager is an animal.

I'm currently at ET in Izmit. I applied @ the end of December and wasn't contacted until February after I had totally forgotten about them. It was another 2 weeks until I was called for an interview so hang tight.

These places never cease to amaze me, they fanny about with prospective employees as if they just grow on trees. If you already have cause to complain about the way they conduct their affairs at this early stage why in gods name do you even consider working for these ghastly people?
Are you that desperate or is it a question of no experience and even less qualifications?
