No offense, but one of these days you should study English. |

Actually his English is fine. It is just the lack of punctuation and capital letters. (I hope you plan to use them when you teach... their usage is a real problem for Arabic speakers and you need to set the correct example)
Welcome to the world of TEFL teachers... who proofread and correct everything they read.
Sorry I can't answer your question, but hopefully someone can point you in the right direction. You do need to realize that your credentials will not get you great jobs. The best jobs in the Middle East require MAs. Something that you and your wife may want to think about in the near future.

His English is fine, aside from the lack of periods and capital letters, which is intentional, obviously.
You want someone to criticize, go to this thread: "I just want a teaching job anywhere in KSA...am I qualified?"
And that guy is from Ohio! |

I wasn't really thinking about the English in his post, just the lack of it in his curriculum. What bothers me is how people are able to wiggle their way into really good jobs with a very shallow education in actual English. What especially gets to me is the notion that any degree with an Ed in it is as good or better than an English major. Also the notion that the ESL certificate courses have anything to do with English. |

Well, Sheikh Abdullah, since your interests are Islam and Basketball, I suggest you try King AbdulAziz University, they are advertising for English teachers (Married couples are preferred) for their English Language centre.

If I were in your shoes, I would focus on finding a speech path position for your wife first. Medical jobs can pay much better and have much better benefits. You say you have an "Islamic background" --does that mean that your wife speaks Arabic? If she does, she might really be in demand as a speech pathologist.
If you come as a teacher and your wife is later hired as a speech pathologist, she will still have to live on your crummy EFL teacher benefits and be given a lower, local-hire salary package. |

Hey there!
I can actually write correctly with all the punctuation and grammar. I will try my best to please my fans.
Haha! I can also type 90 words per minute.
Pretty cool eh?
Thank you all for responding in a timely manner!
I will try for King Abdul Aziz University and see if I can squeeze in there with my wife. I will be working on my Masters once I find a place to settle.
What do you think about Online Masters programs?
Would it be credible for the "glorious" positions you were referring to?
Please respond back swiftly! Thank you! |

Pardon me for being a bit slow, but I fail to see the connection between basketball and Jeddah/KAU...
As for online/distance Masters, I have seen a few ads on here saying "NOT distance learning". I don't know whether or not this is mentioned on the certificate and/or transcripts. |
