OK...
but... you don't plan to write "Jewish" on your papers, do you? They won't hire you if they know that you are Jewish. Will you be comfortable with lying and putting "Christian" on your papers there?

As long as you don't mind a little dishonesty, all will be fine. As your basic Heathen myself, I hated writing Christian there myself, as I have never been one in spite of being dragged to Sunday School all those years. It is easier to go along and not make waves sometimes.
It sounds like you have a sensible plan that can help get you on your feet financially. Send out applications around the Gulf and when/if you get any offers, check the places out here before you jump in. Since you have kids, you don't want to tie yourself to a bad employer and have to make too many moves.

Has it not occurred to the OP that the Authorities may sometimes look at these boards ? How many Westerners come to teach in Hofuf every year ? They will know who you are.
Of course I am making the assumption that you are not a troll but merely a "Meshugeneh" who wants to re-found the Jewish Community in Hofuf. |

LOL, Scot, no, I'm not. I'm just trying to make a buck or three.
VS, I'm actually planning on doing the first year by myself to get the lay of the land before the kids come.

Actually I don't believe visas are no longer refused to those who tick Jewsih in the religion box, but you will find yourself bombarded with questions about Israeli policy if you do since the employer will know, and in order to avoid the hassle it's better to lie a little. |
