The worst uniform, in my experience, is the white long sleeved shirt and tie. And so many aspire to wear it.

Go figure.

At least wearing the above we'll look like teachers instead of employees at a fast food restaurant or workers at an adventure playground. It's a uniform that makes you look like a professional educator. If I had my own school I would recommend that the teachers wear dress shirt, trousers and shoes.

Also there is some relative freedom in that you have a choice of what white shirt and tie you wear. Not much choice, but better than none at all.

I didn't think of that - a uniform to remind employees that those upstairs don't consider them as real teachers (a uniform that makes the FT look more like pupil than teacher) - a state of affairs that may also be reflected in the company's "non-professional" wage levels Idea

Its interesting to note - that when ProfM tells us that Bejing EF pays a far more professional sounding sallary than its outlying schools - that these higher paid EF employees aren't expected to wear the uniform. What should we make of that Question

and remember even if an FT drsses like a baker...they aint no baker... same goes for the teaching profession...but I susposed that EF could stand for Educational Fraud.....but then again .. most teaching could actually qualify for that uniform...hey a uniform standard of fraud...but then again.. the EF shirt is better than the standard crocs....which replaced the flip flop

You'll be relieved then, to learn that it looks like the American based Crock footwear company will be going under.

Not that there aren't imitators aplenty to fill the fashion void. Laughing

Mybe they will return to the fashion statement of the Birkenstocks...then they can join the styling of the EF polo shirt with footwear that looks like a croissant ...

I will recommending a Crocodile Aussie look for future staff.

But will native English speakers (unlike Egg) go for it?
