|
|
I was browsing through the FAQ's of a site and I came across this.
"Q: Do I need vaccinations to come to China?
A: Yes. We advise all applicants to get vaccinations before leaving for China. We recommend that you check the following vaccinations: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Japanese B Encephalitis, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Typhoid."
Are these really highly recommended? I'm assuming it's pretty expensive to get all this done. Better to be safe then sorry though I guess. Any input?? |

In England:
Hep A & Typhoid combined shot is Free
Diptheria, Tetanus & Polio combined shot is Free
Yellow Fever is around 50
Hep B is three jabs at around 50 per shot.
Diptheria takes about three months to kick in, Hep B shots need to be spaced apart. Your health is worth far more than the cost of any jab |

I'd say that cocktail is to prepare you for the worst-case scenario.
Think of the legal obligation though--the school just wants to make sure you've covered all your bases. |

vaccinations are bad for your health. Dr.s make money from them so they sell them. Just like Mcdonalds sells you burgers that are bad for you Dr.s sell things like vaccinations.
You were taught to believe that Dr.s care for you and are smart. Truth is they like money more than they care for you. vaccinations introduce many toxins into your system and many people have bad reactions from them.
Now all the sleeping dr. loving science followers can get angry at my words of truth.
over to you sheeple. |

Dr's in England get paid a capped wage, it makes no difference to their pay if you go and get a free shot |

Two years ago when one of my senior (university) students wasn't hired for a job because she had Hep B, I did some searching on the internet and discovered that Hep B is very common in China. Go get the shots. If you haven't been in China, you'll find when you arrive that the Chinese have very different ideas about cleanliness and sanitation from what you are probably used to. Meals are often family style with every one putting their chopsticks in the same dish. Many school bathrooms are 'cleaned' with (often dirty) water, no bleach or cleanser. Babies and young children urinate/defecate on the street. People spit everywhere.. streets, shops, restaurants, buses. Check out the numbers and then get the shots.

Well, I'm Canadian so hopefully all these are free as well. I haven't really looked into it. But I gues even if it costs me, I'd rather be safe. Thanks everyone for the advice. |
