chances are, if you all got emails from them, they are no good and are not credible, that's why they have to send out many emails to persuade people to work for them. just a tip before you arrive. |

Why would a school not be credible and not good because they send out emails to prospective teachers?? I don't agree with that statement at all. If this school has three campuses, depending on how big they are, they may need quite a few teachers for the new school year. They may have recently expanded their programs or campuses and thus need many more teachers. They might want to look for as many possible teachers and then shortlist the best before and then again after interviews (very common). They may be like 80% of Thai schools and started looking for teachers 2 weeks before they need them making it a mad scramble. They are probably not a top end school, but that by no means makes them "no good" and "not credible".
To the 2 looking for advice. All three of these places have lots of people. Rangsit is a suburb of Bangkok growing very fast and although its not the prettiest place to live, there are lots of people and a large mall and easy access to Bangkok including taxis. Hua Hin is also a fast growing beach/resort type area. Lots of western influence here (restaurants, hotels, beach activities, etc.)
Don't listen to blanket statements. Give the school a chance. Ask to speak with a current or former teacher. Ask for a website or photos of the school. A good school should pay for your work permit and at least help with the visa. Salary really depend a lot of the type of school (public or private) and your credentials. Could be in the 30-35,000 baht range up to the 50,000 baht range.
Good luck |

jai yen yen people.
what i meant by my posting was this: from what i have infered from the posts on this topic, the school is passing out job offers left and right to people who seemingly know little to nothing about the school.
they have not visited the campus, checked out the facilities, or even gone in for a face to face interview, which in my opinion is pretty damn important when accepting a position, especially in Thailand.
good luck. |

I just got a job through the Yamsaard school and after lots of talking with the recruiter who set me up with the job everything seems to be in order. I'm going to be in Bangkok next week to talk to the principal and hopefully check out the school. After some research it seems like a reputable school and the recruiter I'm working with has been working with this school for many years. Hopefully I'm not making a mistake but it seems to be a good gig. Hope that helps anyone.... |
