Hi Everyone,

I have an interview for a lecturing job at UOH and have no idea wht they like to ask.
I have read most of your previous threads and will be grateful if I can get more details ASAP.

Thanx.

I know the economy is bad and all, but seriously Angelina, is it so bad that you have to come teach English in Saudi Arabia? Razz

As for the interview, don't sweat it. When they interviewed me a few years back, they just asked about my educational background and work experience; stuff which was on my resume. They just wanted to hear my English, make sure I didn't have some weird accent.

They take pretty much anybody.

So tell us, are you going add to your brood by adopting an orphaned Saudi baby? Very Happy

This is probably the most the interview will comprise of:

"You born in Britsh...?!"

And from what I hear, the economy is quite bad plus things are expensive in Britain.

Forgive my bad manners... I forgot to ask about Brad.

If you are coming to Saudi, what's Brad doing? Continuing to be tuff guy in movies, or also coming to Saudi to teach English? Cool

You guys r so funny...never thot ur response will make me LOL....

The economy is not too good in Britain....Brad is OK...and we r actually considering adopting an ARAB child...

Regarding the tips...it's quite helpful to know they aren't so tough....but I'm not coming to teach English....wrong assumption...though I believe tht's wht takes lot of people to KSA...

It seems being british is impt which I am not "unfortunately" but let's see how it goes...

Angelina

Trapezius

Did you watch the curious case of Benjamin....? I believe Brad didn't act tough guy in that one...and even in some of his recent movies...

Believe it or not he has already made up his mind he is coming for a while if all goes well...hope he doesn't divorce me bcos of boredom Laughing

If you're not coming as an English lecturer then we can't really give you any hints at all as to the interview.

We can at least give general hints for interviewing with Saudis, if that is the case at Hail. My advice would be that if you are being interviewed by Saudis, try to connect with them as people rather than trying to display your qualifications for the position. Speaking very generally, Saudis appreciate humor and flexibility. If you have those characteristics, let them shine.

Hail is okay.UOH is a bit like the "Last Chance Saloon". If they won't let you in, Skid Row awaits.
