Hello,
I would appreciate leads for opportunities for first-time English teachers in Taiwan (and Thailand). I am also interested in the Middle East, but I see other threads on that part of the world. Their requirements seem to be a bit stringent (i.e. must be certified, etc.).
I have tons of relevant teaching experience at the university, community college, and workshop levels, however, I am not certified nor have taught I English per se.
If anyone has suggestions for legitimate leads be they recruiters, placement agencies, or schools/universities directly, I am looking for a position in the near term, vs. waiting until a September semester start.
Thank you. |

For university positions keep an eye on the Taipei Times, and occassionally for sites like the Chronicle of Higher Ed., where Tai Da are presently advertising (but not for English jobs).
For university info keep an eye on Scott Sommers' website. However past advice he has given is to contact universities yourself. So with 150+ universities in Taiwan you best get cracking!!! |

Try Reach to Teach. They are a good agency that places teachers at a range of schools in Taiwan. http://reachtoteachrecruiting.com/
