I am an English teacher returning to the States in April and would like to keep my apartment so I don't have to look for another when I return, proably in late May or June. So I am looking for someone to sub-let for two months. It is for one person only. The apartment is on the grounds of a larger house where the landlord and his wife and grown son live. They are nice people. The location is Tibas, a suburb of San Jose, on the Moravia border. Buses to San Jose are a block away and leave every 15 minutes. An Auto Mercado supermarket is two blocks away. The apartment is old and the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired but it is cheap. I pay 110,000 colones plus 12,000 colones for utilities. It is furnished with cable and wireless internet connections but I don't have a tv. There is a an old washer dryer. I am asking the person interested in sub-letting to pay 90,000 colones plus the utilities which is about $160 plus about $20 for utilities. If you are interested, please send me a private message. I prefer to sub-let to a teacher who should already be in Costa Rica so I can introduce you to the landlord. |

It is per month. 110,000 colones or about $200 is a reasonable price for a cheap, furnished 1 bedroom apartment in Tibas, a suburb of San Jose. Of course, you can pay more for better quality. Mine is old with an electric stove, no hot water except for the shower, and an old washer/dryer. The positives are that it is close to buses and an Auto Mercado.
Right now I have a person who is subletting it for the agreed upon price.
Hope that helps. |
