I used to live nearby the polytechnic in Daliang (about 6km away I believe), I had some chinese friends who studied there and went to the campus a few times.
Its a bit outside of town (about 30 mins by moto, if I remember right) but the campus is nice and has a friendly atmosphere. I seem to remember being somehow involved in a group English singing competition there and being forced to down a bottle of water for losing . But seriously, from what I could gather the university had a good atmosphere and plenty going on.
There is also significant oppertunities for out of hours tutroing work in the area (its a significantly wealthy town) and plenty of local part time job opportunities in language centers and kindergartens.
Daliang doesn't have a huge foriegn community, but one exists all the same. If you have any more questions, pm me.
Also, when are you thinking of getting the job? I'm probably heading back to work in Daliang in September. |

I'm reviving this thread because I have an interview with this school soon.
Any new information on this school or area? I know an area/school can develop and change in a year or two.
Thanks! |

Like I said before my friend said that they were good to work for. The administration was nice and helpful. He had no problems. Well, he said there was a terrible problem with mosquitoes. |
