I am teaching Medan and looking for a permanent place to live. I have had a look around the Setia Budi Kompleks and noticed that many of the houses are quite large. I think I would be lonely in one by myself. Do any teachers share places? I know some schools have a house for their teachers, unfortunately mine doesn't. Or if anyone knows of a Kompleks with smaller apartments for one person please let me know.

I think you'd have better luck asking on www.expat.or.id. Their forums are more geared towards that sort of stuff. Specifically, the living in Indonesia forums (www.livinginindonesiaforum.org).
