It's nutz! We have over 400,000 visitors to our port city and the beaches look like Waikiki in March! Cars can't move, and the beer is flowing in the streets, along with our famous Banda music. 400,000 is nearly our entire population over again! Hotels are 100%. It's good old fashioned craziness, and I think the religious aspect got left in the dust. Don't get me wrong, we are no Cancun or Cabo, but it's a rockin' time for here. We made the national news last night when 20 drunks got arrested for resisting arrest. (??!!) And being drunk, too close to the ocean. The arrests were to protect them from themselves, and those high waves. No murders, no really bad stuff at all happening here even with all these extra people from all over Mexico. The foreign press should really be taking note. But I know they aren't.
